David Jett is a retired Southern California law enforcement professional with 27 years of experience in communication, leadership, and de-escalation. He served as a patrolman, detective, and later a special agent in charge with the California Department of Justice, leading major investigations and training teams in safe, effective conflict resolution. Today, he teaches practical de-escalation strategies to help professionals communicate better and create safer environments. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, golf, skiing, and time with his family.
JT is a 28-year law enforcement veteran and co-founder of Safe Sight Strategies with extensive experience in workplace violence prevention and conflict resolution. He retired as an Assistant Chief with the California Department of Justice, overseeing statewide investigations and high-risk operations. Now in Nevada, he leads a team of investigators for the Henderson City Attorney's Office. Known for his scenario-based, communication-focused training style, JT equips professionals with practical tools to manage conflict safely. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, tennis, baseball, and time with his son in the Army and daughter in college.
Kurt Mueller is a founder of Safe Sight Strategies with nearly 30 years of law enforcement leadership and training experience. His career with the State of California included undercover vice work, major narcotics and counter-terrorism investigations, and supervising complex fraud and violent crime cases. As a Deputy Chief with the California Department of Justice, he oversaw eight statewide offices, led high-risk task forces, and developed officer safety, de-escalation, and workplace conflict-resolution programs. Today, Kurt uses that real-world expertise to help organizations recognize risks, defuse tense situations, and respond safely under pressure.
